Activities for Children

The Children and Family Ministry is an integral part of the Ministry at Karori Anglican.    We provide activities where children and their families can experience God have fun, make friends, play games, have food, worship, pray, learn and to share our love of God.

Kid's Zone caters for the young up to the age of 11 years (Year 6) and is run alongside 9am and 10.30am Services.  The Sunday groups meet every Sunday in term time.

JAM (Jesus & Me)

Age 2 to 6 years old.
This is meeting in the Gathering Area.  We start in church at 10.30am.  The session will be run by two adults and several teenagers.  It will be a time of learning about Bible stories, craft, sharing, playing games and having fun.

Impact

Year 2 to 6.
Starts in the Church then moves to the Hall.  It is an action packed hour of learning about God's amazing love, fun and games.

During the week there are other activities focused on children especially pre-school families. They are:

Pre-School Playgroup

Monday from  9.30am-11.30am
Meet in the St. Mary's Hall (SMASH hall)
For all parents/caregivers and their children under 5.  Come for fun, laughter, learning, chat tea or coffee.  The children will enjoy playing with puzzles, reading, music, drawing and painting.

Parents Alone

Single and bringing up children on your own?
Parents Alone meets Third Friday 5.30-7.30pm @ Early Childhood Education Centre, 170 Karori Road.   This is a monthly opportunity to get together with others in a similar situation. We start with a meal together in the Centre then the children are looked after while you enjoy some adult conversation.
