Other Community Services
Like any community based church we provide many services within the community. Some of the activities in which our Clergy, Parish Staff and Parishioners are involved are listed below:
Ezee-meals
Convenient frozen meals for those on their own, or for students and busy people who run out of time to prepare meals themselves. (The webmaster can personally vouch for these great timesavers for families in a hurry!) Roasts, light meals, desserts and NEW to the range, All Day Breakfasts. Home deliveries are made on Friday mornings to those who are confined to the house or in ill health. Meals are available from the Parish Office weekdays between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
Mains $6.00, Light meals/breakfasts $4.00 and Desserts $2.50.
The Parish Pantry
The Parish has a network of Parishioners who are ready to prepare full meals for families in need. Supporting the sick and those who need some help with the basics of life, this service is a hallmark of our Christian community. If you need help please contact the Parish Office or a member of the Clergy.
Home Visiting
Often people are unable to get out of their home to the Church - so the Church goes to them! Clergy and others are happy to visit parishioners in the home (including the local retirement villages) to provide counselling, conversation and spiritual support including Holy Communion.
St Mary's Community Craft Group
A Wednesday morning craft group which meets in the Church Hall (usually 9.45am - 11.30am). An opportunity to enjoy the company of others while, at the same time, developing your own creative skill. Instruction is offered in craft and embroidery. Alternatively, feel free to bring your own project. A small fee is charged to cover costs and childcare is also available. Please contact the Parish Office for details (476-8978).
