Welcome
We are a diverse company of ordinary people who love God and share a commitment to making an impact, for Jesus, in our city and country. As typical Anglicans we are very modest about what we do. We are taught not to boast – and we are good at that! Well, we are allowed to boast about one thing – our faith and love of God.
The work we do is in the name of Jesus, so we should be very proud of this work. There are evangelists who shout the name of Jesus from the rooftops. For many of us, we shout our love through our work in the community and service to our church and God. We are all part of the body of Christ and each of us should celebrate our uniqueness as part of a world-wide community of Christians serving God.
Our works in the name of Jesus magnify the name of the Lord. Our prayers strengthen our relationship with God and our love for our fellow humans reveals the love Jesus showed us in his unique and uncompromising sacrifice.
In that sense, I am proud to be the servant of Jesus and Vicar of Karori Anglican Churches. I encourage you to think about how you can show your love for God. Whatever your gifts, they are welcome and valued – gifts from God enable you to serve God and take our church beyond the physical walls and out into the community.
John Hughes, Vicar
