Working Bee – Saturdays, 30 September
Greetings,
Last Saturday’s working bee was disrupted by rain so we focused on clearing out the TK Basement storeroom. Many thanks to those who came along to help – Rupert, Mike, Judy, Ian and Geoff.
This Saturday the weather is looking better! We want to focus on preparing the “courtyard” for grass (its going to be so good to have this space over summer!) and the new garden beds for planting. Jobs will include spreading mulch, digging drainage trenches in the lower courtyard grassed area and depending on how many helpers are available other ground work!
We have all the tools so please come along to help with this important work that will make Te Kororia look even more beautiful.
Please arrive from 9 am and let us know if you can come (even if its just for an hour or two) so that we can make sure we have all the equipment we need.
Morning coffee and lunch provided in our very own Te Kororia
See you on Saturday!
Thanks.
Te Korōria Cafe – Shelley Bay Baker
Exciting news
The cafe is now stocking a selection of yummy baked goods from Wellington’s very own Shelley Bay Baker. Highly recommended are the Caramel and Date Muffins and the Caramel-salted Cookies. Pop on in and try them out.

Please Pray for The Team
Call to Prayer
The prayer team would like to challenge the congregation to be praying for our country and the upcoming elections.
As a nation, we are facing a cost-of-living crisis, social inequity, housing shortages, climate change, issues of poverty, shortages of essential workers in many professions, the problem of crime, and many other issues.
Please pray earnestly for God’s wisdom and discernment so that we will elect leaders with the wisdom and capacity to help us address these issues. Our challenge is for you to be spending some time every day until the election praying for our country, the election issues, and about who you will vote for.
Giving
On our Patronal Festival Gregor Coster spoke to the congregation about the opportunities to support the work of Karori Anglican financially. Specifically, we have a loan to service (that enabled the building works to be completed) as well as the opportunity to fund our Youth Minister. If you would like to give to a specific thing – building, youth salary, vicarage refurbishment, then please just put that in your online banking reference. You can also email accounts@karorianglican.org.nz and let Jasmine (our accounts administrator) know.
There is also the option to make a bequest to Karori Anglican in your will. Gregor’s slides can be viewed here : Patronal Sunday 13 August 23
We need your continued financial support for the operation of the Parish, including Te Korōria. If you were previously giving to the building of Te Korōria (and have now completed your pledge) Thanks so much! Please prayerfully consider continuing that level of support. We are very thankful to the many generous givers in our Karori Anglican community.
If you need further information on how to give, a giving number or information on how to set up a bequest, please contact accounts@karorianglican.org.nz
