AGM MONDAY 15TH

AGM is on Monday 15th April in Te Korōria from 7pm for a 7:30pm start. We invite you to bring something to share for supper at 7pm.

Thank you for your nominations for vestry for 2024. This office and that of the wardens will stand for two years.

Te Kororia Games Night 

Come along to Te Kororia on 17th April for Games Night. There will be a big selection of card and board games – something for everyone so invite a friend or come on your own. Be there for a 7pm start, with games getting underway at 7:15pm.

We hope to see you this Wednesday.

Text to Order a Drink at Te Korōria 

We have set up a text to order option for takeaway or dine-in at Te Korōria. You can text your coffee order to 022 0980326. Please pay when you arrive to collect your order from the counter.

include in your order:

• Name
• Takeaway or Dine-in
• Type of drink
• Size

Staff will text you back to confirm that they have the order, and will assume you want it immediately, unless you have stated otherwise.

This is a new process that we are trying out, so please be patient as we are smoothing out the cracks.

Youth

Come join the last Summer Party for quite some time.

Get out your favourite summer outfit. Bring the beach vibes and enjoy a classic BBQ this Saturday at 6pm at Te Whare ō mere.

Godzone

This Sunday there will be no GodZone as we are on school holiday break. However, we will be putting on a interactive, family friendly 10:30am service – So we hope to see you all there!

Giving

Thanks for your responses (and ongoing prayer) for funding Karori Anglican’s work. We are encouraged by the faithful response already.

We know that everyone’s circumstances are unique and commend your giving to prayerful consideration. We are aiming to increase our usual giving by 20% per household.

“We had a conversation about giving and realised our thinking around giving had shifted. We feel that giving is part of our Christian walk – we give because we are part of God’s Kingdom, and not because we are seeking favour from God. It’s part of what being a Christian means to us, the way we live out our faith. Therefore we increased our giving. Following Ian’s recent sermon we also made an extra donation for the same reason.”  Annon Parishioner

Cursillo Retreat El Rancho

We are pleased to advise that we have two Cursillo’s taking place this year, a men’s and woman’s Cursillo on 20-23 June at El Rancho, Waikanae.  Both Cursillo’s although being on the same weekend will be run separately.  

Cursillo is a short course on ‘Christian Living’ but it is more than this.  This is a lay ministry run through the Anglican Church.  We have two teams who have trained hard the past year and have put together some fantastic talks and testimonies to share throughout the weekend.  Cursillo is a time when we draw closer to the Lord in our relationship with him and a time to simply come and experience all that he has for us.  It is a time to be blessed with so many unexpected blessings throughout the weekend and to experience Christ’s love in action as well as fellowship with those around you.  Meals are all provided and you will have your own bedroom.  Cursillo is such a gift to us all.  If you would like to come and experience a Cursillo as a pilgrim our weekends are on:

Room Available

A room is available in The Vicarage residence. It is a large single room with internet provided and power bill shared among the flatmates. Rent is $215 weekly.  If you know of anyone who might be interested, please ask them to contact the office.
