Our AGM will be held on Monday 7th April at 7pm, for a 7:30pm start in St Mary’s Church this year. As well as reviewing the past year we will also begin an interactive exploration of community needs as part of our missional planning

Please read the reports before the meeting, it is very encouraging to read all of the fabulous things from 2024. There will be opportunities to ask questions, but we will not be speaking to all the reports.
Electoral Roll
Are you on our electoral roll? Would you like to be? Being on the roll allows you a vote on significant decisions regarding Karori Anglican’s future.This is the last Sunday before this years AGM to join.
To join the roll you need to :
- Be baptised
- Have been an active member of the church for at least 4 months in the last 2 years
- Not on an electoral roll of any other parish
In order to join you need to complete a form that is witnessed by the Vicar and Church Wardens. The Roll and the forms will be available in the Gathering area each Sunday for the next two weeks. You can also email office@karorianglican.org.nz to check if you are already on the roll.
Fish and Chips tomorrow 4th April
Fish and Chip Fridays are back fo 2025! Bring your friends and family for a great meal, good chats and fun for the kids! We are looking forward to seeing you there.
Gig Night THIS SATURDAY 5th April
Our first Gig Night of 2025 ! Join us from 5pm in the Te Korōria Courtyard with a picnic rug, for great music (with special guests Sol Fide), burgers and BBQ – $10 entry. The rain charts says it will be fine! Say goodbye to summer in style. If the weather doesn’t hold we will use Te Korōria. Bring your neighbours, friends and family along to a night of community fun.
Scott Wheeler – The Missioner
We are excited to announce that Scott Wheeler will be working from the Karori Anglican Offices once a week helping with local mission work within Karori. We are working in partnership with NZCMS. Scott will be based at Te Korōria most Wednesdays and will be supporting missional community development.
Alpha Date Confirmed!
The first Alpha meeting will be held on Wednesday 30th April at 7pm in Te Korōria. Please start thinking about praying for individuals who you would like to invite. Please pick up invitation cards in the gathering area, or share our social media invite. More details to come in the following weeks. From April 6th till May 27th you can put up a woolen wrist band in the gathering area
The SMASH Club is in need of a new couch!
SMASH is in need of a new couch in good condition to replace one that has collapsed and has stuffing coming out. It would be great to have something that looks good and is comfortable.

Interested in Confirmation?
We have a Confirmation course starting on May 4th. There will be 5 one hour sessions right after Church on a Sunday at 12pm in the Kikorangi Room, led by Ben. There will then be the opportunity to be confirmed at Pentecost (8th June) by the Bishop Anna. If any youth or young adults want to confirm your baptism and faith, or get baptised please sign up.

Church Working Bee
During Holy week we will have a working bee in the church. This will take place on Saturday 19th April cleaning windows and dusting from 9:30am – Noon. Let the office know if you are available to help, coming along for any amount of time is welcome. Morning Tea provided by the Vicar.
Lent
Join Ian for silent prayer in St Mary’s Church from Monday – Thursday mornings from 7:30am – 8:30am until the end of Lent.

Manna meals
We are in need of more Manna meals. House Church Leaders could you please plan a time with your group to prepare meals this quarter. We will have containers and labels available in the welcoming cupboard in the Church foyer for you to collect and fill.
A huge thank you to the parishioner who donated the money we needed to purchase a new freezer to store our Manna Meals!
Intermediate Youth – CHAOS

Friday 4th April – No Collective Youth this week – Ben is on leave
Friday 11th April – To finish off a great term we are going to Scorching Bay meeting there at 5pm and will enjoy an evening on the beach with games, and fish n chips.
Join Our Choir
We are working on Mozart’s Missa Brevis in D and a motet by Ett for Easter Day, and are in need of new members. We are looking for two basses, and an alto but all offers of voices are welcome. We also waiting on the immigration department to process two of our members who have struggled for some years. If you can help us please see David (djtrott@xtra.co.nz) or any choir member
Youth Weekend Away
The date for our Youth Weekend Away has been confirmed for the 28th – 30th November! We will have a great time in the outdoors, playing lots of games, and learning more about Jesus. We will also have a guest speaker joining us!
