Sunday Kids and Youth

Our Godzone (kids programme) on Sunday caters for the young up to school year 8 and is run alongside the 10.30am Service. Godzone groups meet every Sunday in term time.

JAM – Age 2 to 5 years old
We start in church at 10.30am, and then move out to the gathering area.  It is a time to learn about Bible stories, craft, sharing, playing games and having fun, whilst learning how much God loves them.

IMPACT – School Years 1 to 5
Starts in the Church at 10.30am then moves to the Activity room.  It is an action packed 40 minutes of learning about God’s amazing love, fun and games, and thinking about their own faith.

CROSSFIRE – School Years 6 to 8
Starts in the Church at 10.30am then moves to the Church offices.  It is a place where tweens can hang out, enjoy a hot chocolate and biscuits, and go deeper in their knowledge of the bible.

Collective Youth

The Collective Youth Group is an inclusive and welcoming atmosphere for all youth, who meet on a Friday evening from 7-9.30pm in the SMASH Activity Room at 170 Karori Road. We are a community, a ‘collective’ of people, of young people and young adults who together work, live and grow towards God.

The Collective is a group who want to journey through the highs and lows of life together. We want to go deep with each other, our church and our community whilst also reaching towards God with everything we do.

School years 9-13 are welcome!

SMASH (St Mary’s After School House)

The SMASH Club is an integral part of the ministry of St Mary’s Anglican Church.  There are many different activities to do within the after school care programme including our Girls Zone and Boys Zone sessions where kids have the opportunity to learn more of our faith.

Afternoon Fellowship

Afternoon Fellowship was formed when several existing groups (Mothers Union, Mission group, Ladies Guild) decided to amalgamate.  We are part of Capital City Anglican Women, the Wellington branch of the Association of Anglican Women.

Meetings are held in the Prayer Room on the 1st Wednesday of the month, at 1.30 p.m.   We begin with a time of prayer and reflection, followed by a talk from an invited speaker.  The afternoon concludes with a cup of tea, and time for discussion on upcoming events in the parish, and  hearing members’ news.
